For over a decade, the Long Island-based “glam punk” band Bad Mary has been dazzling audiences across the New York and Long Island music scene. Known for their high-energy performances and fun-filled shows, the band has become a staple to some here in the tri-state area.

Long before they were headlining, their story actually began right off of the Hempstead Turnpike at Hofstra University. The Pride connection runs deep as Bad Mary’s guitarist, David Henderson, is also a professor in Hofstra’s Department of Drama and Dance.

WRHU’s Gabrielle Yanovitz had the opportunity to talk to the entire band to unveil the story of how they came to be and much more.
