American journalist Jared Goyette has barely slept for the past 24 hours because of more than nine hours of air sirens in Ukraine overnight. He has lived in Kyiv for almost two years, working as a freelance journalist and editor for The Ukrainians Media.

He was at the site of the latest Russian attack that killed at least 24 people and injured more than 130. Local officials say the death toll could climb.

Radio Hofstra University’s Jonathan Padilla spoke with Goyette, who visited the nine-story building in Kyiv that was partially left in ruble after the drone hit the residential area.
