An interview with Newsday’s Paul LaRocco on the Grumman plume contamination

In this interview with WRHU’s Newsline, Newsday investigative reporter Paul LaRocco discusses the underground toxic plume that has crept underground beneath Bethpage, North Wantagh and Seaford for decades, contaminating underground water stores

The plume resulted from Grumman plane manufacturing at its Bethpage site. LaRocco and fellow reporter David Schwartz published their findings in the story, “The Making of an Environmental Crisis,” which appeared in the paper on Feb. 20.
