WRHU’s Jonathan Padilla and Nikko Cuda spoke to Muslim Scholars and Long Islanders about the conflict in the Middle East. They focused on how much the conflict is affecting Muslims and non-Muslims here at home on Long Island.

Padilla and also spoke to an Iraqi born college student, Maya, who asked not to be identified by her last name. The young woman was born one year after the U.S invasion of Iraq. She and her family fled to Jordan for a better life away from political conflict. She ultimately left the Middle East and immigrated to the United States due to the political and economic disruption in the region.

One of the show’s highlight includes an interview with Mufti Mohammad Farhan, who said, “our hearts are very heavy looking at the condition of the people all over the world,” speaking on the behalf of Muslims and non-Muslims all over the Middle East.
