As an immigrant herself, Saadia Khan understands firsthand why it is important to amplify the voices of first- and second-generation immigrants. Many have stories that often go unheard. The number of immigrants living in the United States hit a record high last March, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Khan understands firsthand how the 51.6 million immigrants who are currently in the U.S. face complex challenges of navigating identity, culture and belonging in America.

Through her work with Immigrantly Media, Khan is creating a platform where immigrants can share their stories authentically, offering a rare glimpse into the nuanced lives of individuals who contribute to the fabric of American society. Khan’s platform reaches over 70 million people, capturing the attention of a diverse audience eager for perspectives that are often missing from traditional media.

In a conversation on a recent episode of 88.7FM WRHU’s “Morning Wake Up Call,” Khan opened up about her journey and how it fuels her passion for storytelling. She also discussed how immigrants, regardless of whether they can vote, will be impacted by the outcome of the 2024 Presidential Election.
