Eight-year-old Thomas Valva died of hypothermia recently after, authorities say, he was locked in the cold garage of his Center Moriches home overnight by his father, NYPD officer Michael Valva, 40, and Angela Pollina, 42, Michael’s fiancee. The couple now face second-degree murder charges.
