Brooklyn Nets team up with Reform Alliance to aid formerly incarcerated

The Brooklyn Nets recently partnered with Reform Alliance for an event to push prison reform. Families negatively impacted by criminal justice were invited. Among the participants was Cassandra Owens, of Valley Stream. The Long Island Advocate’s Yaw Bonsu reports.

The Brooklyn Nets recently partnered with Reform Alliance to host an event encouraging prison reform. Special guests included Cordae, LaLa Anthony and Meek Mill, among others. The Nets gave a VIP experience for children whose mothers were impacted negatively by the criminal justice system. The experience included a tour of the Barclays Center, a shopping spree at Brooklyn Fanatics and a free suite viewing of the Nets-Hornets basketball game.
